In 2023, a Texas jury awarded a record-setting $105 million verdict against a trucking company. In 2024, a Missouri federal jury issued a $158 million jury verdict in favor of the family of a man killed on an Amtrak train.
Kamaria (Kay) Harper Williams is a partner at The Witherspoon Law Group, where she focuses on wrongful death and serious injury cases.
Prior to joining The Witherspoon Law Group, Williams owned and operated her own firm. During its ten years of existence, she successfully obtained millions of dollars in compensation for her clients. Before founding her own firm, she worked at Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson, & Sperando (The Willie Gary Firm), working on multi-million dollar cases, involving wrongful deaths, catastrophic injuries, and class action lawsuits.
Williams is active in the Jacksonville community. She is Chairwoman of the Jacksonville Urban League Economic and Community Development Foundation and formerly served as a board member on the Downtown Investment Authority after being appointed to that position by Mayor Alvin Brown. Williams is also involved with Families of Slain Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting families who have lost a loved one to violent crime.
