ATTORNEY REFERRALS & LOCAL COUNSEL

REFERRING ATTORNEY, CO-COUNSEL, IN-HOUSE COUNSEL, AND LOCAL COUNSEL. A percentage of our practice is based upon referrals and direct employment by other attorneys, due to conflicts or their lack of experience in the subject matter or in trial work. We greatly appreciate those relationships and are sensitive to maintaining the confidence these attorneys have in The Witherspoon Law Group.

I. REFERRING ATTORNEY The Witherspoon Law Group respects pre-existing relationships between referring attorneys and their clients. We encourage referring counsel to remain involved in the process and, where the client permits us to do so, we include referring counsel in status and progress reports.

II. CO-COUNSEL RELATIONSHIPS AND WORK WITH IN-HOUSE COUNSEL One of the characteristics of The Witherspoon Law Group, is our willingness and desire to work in cooperation with co-counsel and in-house counsel. We bring a depth of experience and knowledge of the legal process of dispute avoidance and resolution, by settlement or by trial, but we recognize that our abilities and our perspective are only a part of the picture. We work closely with other attorneys to make sure that we secure the same objectives.

III. LOCAL COUNSEL In order to be allowed to participate as an attorney in state and federal court proceedings in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Florida, the attorney must be admitted to practice in that court. The attorneys at The Witherspoon Law Group, are members of the Bar and admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Florida.
